All About Me

My love of yoga started what feels like so long ago now. I knew it existed, but it wasn’t super popular in my town and I didn’t personally know anyone who practiced. During middle/high school I happened to wake up early and caught Wai Lana yoga on PBS. I loved how soft and gentle she spoke and was instantly hooked. I continued to wake up early and eventually grabbed some of her dvds. My love of yoga grew and throughout high school I grabbed books and other dvds. During my first semester at college I took a 1 credit Zen Yoga course and couldn’t get enough! I took classes offered in our campus gym throughout that year and continued practicing on my own.

It wasn’t until after I graduated college that I finally decided to find an in person class back home. I stumbled upon Yoga in Nature with my first teacher Denise Ashcraft and after attending one class on her 20 acre horse farm, knew I needed to get certified. I signed up for my 200hr and began that fall. My training with Jill Blumenstock was life changing and upon graduating, Denise opened a studio a few minutes from my home and offered me a time slot. I continued teaching, taking workshops, and practicing over the years off and on. I really picked yoga back up during my pregnancy and would waddle myself up to Denise’s studio to take classes. After having my daughter I continued my practice and started teaching again, but heading back into studios at this point wasn’t easy.

I was self conscious of my body and its abilities. I felt awkward and anxious and honestly, could not stop comparing myself to these instagram model looking types at the studio. I knew it was time for something different and decided starting my own online studio was what I and so many others needed. A safe place with tons of flexibility to pave your own path with your yoga practice. It was then that meghanflow was born and I started working to make it a reality. Hopefully as you continue your journey with yoga this is a positive part of your path, where you feel supported, guided, and welcomed to practice as you are. I’m so happy you’re here and look forward to moving on together.

XO
